Lung transplant patients may skip some clinic trips with new app
NCT ID NCT05916495
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested if lung transplant patients could use a smartphone app and a home breathing test instead of going to the hospital for every check-up. 76 patients were split into two groups: one received usual care, the other used the app to report symptoms and measure lung function at home. The goal was to see if remote monitoring could safely reduce the number of in-person visits and lower healthcare costs.
