App could make methadone treatment easier and more accessible

Summary

This study tests a smartphone app that lets people with severe opioid use disorder take methadone at home while being remotely monitored. The goal is to see if the app helps people stay in treatment longer, reduces opioid cravings, and lowers healthcare costs. About 100 adults will be randomly assigned to use the app or receive standard take-home doses.
