Summary
This small pilot study tested if people with type 2 diabetes and early signs of kidney damage could participate in a clinical trial entirely from home. Researchers wanted to see if they could find the best personalized medication plan (using drugs called empagliflozin and finerenone) to protect the kidneys by having participants mail in urine and blood samples and track their own blood pressure and weight.
