Summary
This study tested whether adding a strong pain medication called remifentanil during emergency breathing tube placement could prevent a dangerous spike in heart rate. The trial involved 75 fragile patients who needed this urgent procedure. Researchers compared two different doses of the medication to see which was safer and more effective at controlling heart rate.
