Can a simple food quiz replace a 4-day diary for IBS patients?

NCT ID NCT05293769

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study is testing a new online food questionnaire to see if it can accurately measure what people eat, including FODMAPs (certain carbs that can cause digestive issues). Researchers will compare the questionnaire to a standard 4-day food diary in 400 adults, both with and without Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). The goal is to make it easier to track diet and its link to IBS symptoms and physical activity.
