First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at whether two relaxation methods—Benson relaxation and progressive muscle relaxation—can help reduce pain and improve sleep quality in people recovering from lobectomy (lung surgery). About 160 adults having their first planned lobectomy will be enrolled. Participants will practice these techniques after surgery, and their pain levels and sleep quality will be measured. The goal is to find simple, drug-free ways to improve recovery.
