Can relaxing your muscles help lower your blood pressure?
NCT ID NCT06997445
Summary
This study tested whether combining a specific muscle relaxation technique with regular aerobic exercise is better than exercise alone for managing early-stage high blood pressure. Researchers worked with 40 adults aged 18-45 who had stage 1 hypertension. They compared blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, and quality of life between a group doing just exercise and a group doing both relaxation and exercise over four weeks.
