NCT ID NCT07570238
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a drink made with gum acacia and sea magnesium helps people rehydrate better than water after exercise. Twenty-four healthy, active men will exercise until dehydrated, then drink one of three beverages. Researchers will measure how much fluid their bodies retain.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- gum acacia and sea magnesium
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could lead to a more effective rehydration drink for athletes.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small pilot study in healthy men, so results may not apply to others. The drink's effect on hydration has never been tested in humans before.
