First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a pharmacist-led program to reduce unnecessary medications could help older adults (65+) with curable cancers who were starting chemotherapy. 51 participants were enrolled, and their doctors were randomly assigned to either the medication-reduction program or standard education. The goal was to see if reducing extra pills helped patients get the full dose of chemotherapy on time and maintain their daily function.
