Larynx cancer patients may avoid unnecessary neck radiation

Summary

This study tests whether it is safe to reduce or skip radiation on one or both sides of the neck that show no signs of cancer after surgery. The goal is to lessen side effects from radiation without increasing the chance of cancer coming back. About 74 adults with larynx or related cancers are taking part. Researchers will monitor for cancer recurrence and quality of life.
