Could older transplant patients ditch a pill? trial tests cutting meds

NCT ID NCT06568549

Summary

This study aims to see if it's safe and effective to slowly stop one common anti-rejection drug (Mycophenolate Mofetil) in kidney transplant recipients aged 55 and older. Researchers will use special blood tests to closely monitor patients for signs of organ rejection or infection. They will compare those who stop the drug to those who continue taking it as part of standard care.
