What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
LOCK Falls Program (a behavioral intervention where frontline staff huddle to identify and reduce fall risks)
What this could lead to
If successful, this program could significantly reduce fall rates among elderly Veterans in nursing homes, improving safety and quality of care.
What could go wrong
This is a pragmatic implementation study, not a drug trial. Success depends on staff adoption and sustained behavior change, which can be challenging. Results may vary across different homes.
