Tapping away test jitters: study shows EFT calms anxious students
NCT ID NCT07257354
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a simple technique called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) — a mix of tapping on certain body points and talking through feelings — to help 62 Somali students feel less anxious before exams. Students who used EFT reported lower anxiety and better ways of coping with stress compared to those who didn't. The results suggest EFT could be a helpful, drug-free tool for managing exam nerves.
