Study aims to cut opioid prescriptions for surgery pain
NCT ID NCT05548582
Summary
This study is testing whether a combination of non-opioid pain medications can effectively manage pain after a laparoscopic hysterectomy, with the goal of reducing or eliminating the need for opioid prescriptions. Researchers are comparing this approach to standard opioid prescriptions in 120 patients. The main goal is to see if patients have similar pain control and satisfaction without the risks of opioid side effects or potential misuse.
