NCT ID NCT05238155
First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving liver transplant patients lower doses of immune-suppressing drugs could reduce the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a serious complication where donor cells attack the recipient's body. The study involved 100 adults who received a liver or combined kidney-liver transplant. Researchers tracked how many patients developed GVHD or experienced organ rejection within one year after transplant.
