First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at 143 people in China who needed a second surgery after rectal cancer treatment because of a leak or the cancer coming back. Researchers wanted to find out what factors help the repeat surgery succeed and whether patients can eventually poop normally again. The goal is to better understand how to improve outcomes for these complex cases.
