Double-Drug attack on rectal cancer shows promise
NCT ID NCT06933251
Summary
This study is testing whether adding two newer drugs (PCSK9 and PD-1 inhibitors) to standard pre-surgery chemoradiation works better for certain types of locally advanced rectal cancer. It will involve about 30 patients to see if this combination helps shrink or eliminate tumors more effectively before surgery and is safe. The main goals are to measure how many patients have their tumors disappear completely and to track side effects.
