First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at 120 people with stage II or III rectal cancer to see if getting chemotherapy and radiation before surgery changes the number of cancer cells found in the blood, compared to having surgery alone. The goal is to learn more about how these treatments work and help doctors choose the best approach. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment groups.
