First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a new procedure called ReCET that uses gentle electrical pulses to regenerate the lining of the small intestine. Combined with a diabetes drug (semaglutide), the goal is to help people with type 2 diabetes stop using insulin. The study involves 32 adults and compares the real procedure to a sham (fake) procedure to see if it is safe and effective.
