New lung nodule locator tested in pilot trial

Summary
This study tested a new real-time, non-invasive method to locate small lung nodules during surgery, compared to the usual CT-guided needle approach. Forty people with at least two small lung nodules (under 20 mm) took part. The goal was to see if the new method helps surgeons successfully remove all targeted nodules with clear margins.
