First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested a new system that measures how quickly older adults with dynapenia (age-related muscle weakness) react and move when a light turns on. 104 participants completed a running task where they had to touch a randomly lit sensor. The goal was to see if this system can help assess fall risk and physical performance better than current methods.
