First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested a new reactive agility system in 104 older adults with dynapenia (age-related muscle weakness). Participants performed a reaction-based running task where they had to touch a randomly lit sensor. The system measured decision and movement times to assess agility and fall risk. The goal was to see if this innovative test could better evaluate physical performance and help prevent falls.
