New hope for rare cancers: drug combo trial launches

Summary

This study tests a combination of two drugs, nilotinib (a pill) and paclitaxel (given by IV), for people with rare advanced cancers that have not responded to standard treatments. The goal is to see if the drugs can shrink or stop tumor growth. About 82 adults with specific rare cancers like ovarian, anal, or Ewing sarcoma will participate. The trial is currently recruiting.
