Faster tests could stop deadly nursing home outbreaks before they spread
NCT ID NCT06660433
Summary
This study aims to see if using rapid, on-site tests for viruses like COVID-19, flu, and RSV in nursing homes can help prevent large outbreaks. When a virus is detected quickly, staff can isolate infected residents sooner to stop the spread. The trial will compare nursing homes using these fast tests to those using slower, lab-based testing to see which approach results in fewer and smaller outbreaks.
