New drug aims to free blood cancer patients from frequent transfusions

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called DISC-0974 in about 150 adults with myelofibrosis or myelodysplastic syndrome who also have anemia. The goal is to see if the drug is safe and can help patients need fewer or no blood transfusions. The study is in early to mid stages and is currently recruiting participants.
