First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested radiofrequency ablation (using heat) on adenomyosis tissue in 15 women who were already scheduled for a hysterectomy. The goal was to see how well the heat destroys the abnormal tissue by examining it under a microscope after surgery. The study did not aim to cure or treat symptoms, but to gather information on the treatment's effects on the tissue.
