Radiofrequency zaps overactive bladder symptoms in new trial
NCT ID NCT07398014
First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether radiofrequency (RF) energy applied to the bladder area can reduce symptoms of overactive bladder (OAB) and urge incontinence in women. 95 women were split into two groups: one received real RF treatment, the other a sham (placebo) procedure. Symptoms and quality of life were tracked for 12 months using standard questionnaires. The goal was to see if RF could offer a safe, non-drug option for managing OAB.
