Zapping recurrent cancer to control dangerous calcium levels
NCT ID NCT07475780
Summary
This study is testing whether a procedure called radiofrequency ablation (RFA) can help control high calcium levels in people with recurrent parathyroid cancer. It will enroll 20 adult patients whose cancer has come back after surgery and who are not candidates for another operation. Doctors will use ultrasound to guide a needle that heats and destroys the tumor tissue, then monitor patients' calcium levels for a year to see if the treatment works.
