Summary
This study tested a 5-day schedule of highly focused, high-dose radiation to control cancer that had spread to only a few sites in the body. The main goals were to see if this approach could effectively control the treated tumors for at least a year and to carefully monitor side effects. Researchers also wanted to understand which patients' disease stayed limited for longer periods.
