New hope for faster recovery from Kids' diarrhea?
NCT ID NCT07392931
Summary
This study tested whether adding a medicine called racecadotril to the standard rehydration treatment helps children with sudden, watery diarrhea get better faster. Researchers compared 200 hospitalized children, aged 3 months to 5 years, who received either the medicine or a placebo along with standard care. The main goal was to see if the medicine reduced how often children had diarrhea and shortened their time in the hospital.
