New hope for faster relief from Kids' diarrhea?

NCT ID NCT07392931

Summary

This study tested whether adding a medicine called racecadotril to the standard rehydration treatment helps children with sudden, watery diarrhea get better faster. It involved 200 hospitalized children, aged 3 months to 5 years, who were given either the new medicine or a placebo along with their regular care. The main goal was to see if it reduced how often they had diarrhea and how long their hospital stay lasted.
