Could a buddy system ease the burden of arthritis?

NCT ID NCT01525654

Summary

This study tested if connecting people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in a 'buddy' support program could improve their daily function, medication use, and symptoms. It paired 65 adult RA patients to provide mutual understanding and social support. The goal was to see if this peer connection could help people better manage their chronic condition.
