Texting and coaching help teens kick the vape habit

NCT ID NCT06765291

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether a program called QuitVaping, combined with text message support, helps teenagers stop vaping nicotine. About 400 teens aged 14-18 who vape at least weekly will be randomly assigned to either the QuitVaping program plus texting or to standard education and advice. The main goal is to see if more teens in the QuitVaping group can stay vape-free for four weeks, confirmed by a saliva test.
