NCT ID NCT07456826
First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study compares a new numbing gel (chloroprocaine) to the usual numbing drops plus a small injection for people getting eye injections for conditions like macular degeneration or diabetic eye disease. About 236 adults will be randomly assigned to one of the two numbing methods. The goal is to see if the gel works just as well at preventing pain during the procedure.
