First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a jaw-widening surgery (surgically assisted maxillary expansion) improves quality of life in adults with obstructive sleep apnea. Nine adults completed surveys about their sleep and daily life before surgery and again 3 months and 1 year after. The goal was to see if the surgery helped them feel better and breathe easier at night.
