First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at 60 adults having single-level lower back disc surgery. It compared a newer ultrasound-guided nerve block (Quadro-Iliac Plane Block) with the standard method of injecting pain medicine into the wound. Researchers measured pain scores, opioid use, and side effects in the first 24 hours after surgery to see which approach worked better.
