First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested a single dose of the experimental drug QRL-101 in 12 people with ALS. The main goal was to understand how the drug behaves in the body and to check for safety and side effects. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either QRL-101 or a placebo, and neither they nor the doctors knew who got which. This type of study is a first step to see if the drug is safe enough for larger trials.
