New shot aims to tame inherited high cholesterol

Summary
This study tests an investigational drug called QLC7401 in adults with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, an inherited condition causing very high cholesterol. About 120 participants already on cholesterol-lowering medication will receive either QLC7401 or a placebo as a shot. The goal is to see if the drug further lowers bad cholesterol safely.
