Summary
This study tested whether adding a Chinese herbal formula (QingyiHuaji) to standard chemotherapy helps people with stage IV pancreatic cancer live longer. About 305 adults with advanced pancreatic cancer were randomly assigned to receive either the herbal formula plus chemo or a placebo plus chemo. The main goal was to see if the combination improved overall survival, with secondary goals of slowing cancer growth and improving quality of life.
