Summary
This study tested whether monitoring pupil size during heart surgery helps doctors give just the right amount of pain medicine. 50 adults having planned heart surgery were included. The goal was to see if this approach reduces the total dose of a strong opioid called sufentanil, making anesthesia safer and more tailored.
