First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests if a newer type of pulsed radiofrequency (called STP) is safer and works better than the standard type for treating severe facial pain from trigeminal neuralgia. About 62 adults whose pain is not controlled by medication will receive one of the two procedures. Researchers will track pain levels and medication use for up to 6 months after treatment.
