New tooth-saving material tested in head-to-head trial

Summary
This study compares a new calcium silicate material to a standard one for treating deep cavities that have reached the tooth's nerve. The goal is to see which material better keeps the tooth alive and healthy after a minor nerve procedure. Fifty-six people aged 14 to 35 with reversible pulpitis will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two materials and followed for 6 months.
