New dental materials could save children's teeth from extraction
NCT ID NCT07522723
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026
Summary
This study tests three dental materials (Bio C Repair, Biodentine, and MTA) to treat deep cavities in children's permanent molars that have caused irreversible pulp inflammation. Sixty children aged 6-10 will receive a pulpotomy (removing infected pulp) and one of the materials. The goal is to see which material best helps the tooth root close completely and reduces pain, swelling, or infection. This is not a cure but aims to control the disease and save the tooth.
