First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to treat dead teeth by transplanting healthy pulp tissue from a wisdom tooth into the dead tooth. 21 adults with a single dead tooth were randomly assigned to get either a pulp transplant, a pulp transplant with a growth factor, or standard root canal treatment. The goal was to see if the transplant could restore feeling and health to the tooth, with follow-up for one year.
