Stopped early, before it reached the end. That can be for many reasons, including safety.
Cancelled
Cancelled before anyone took part.

Expanded access (not trials)

Expanded access
Not a trial. This treatment can be requested outside a study, case by case, for people who qualify.
Expanded access (paused)
Not a trial. The treatment can normally be requested outside a study, but is unavailable right now.
Expanded access (ended)
Not a trial. The treatment could once be requested outside a study, but no longer can.

Summary

This small pilot study tested an 8-week exercise program for 20 adults with axial spondyloarthritis, a type of arthritis that affects the spine and can restrict breathing. The program included aerobic exercise, strength training, and breathing exercises. Researchers measured changes in walking distance and lung function to see if the program helped.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
multimodal pulmonary rehabilitation (exercise program)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a non-drug way to improve breathing and physical function in people with axial spondyloarthritis.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study with only 20 participants and no control group. Results may not apply to everyone and need confirmation in larger trials.
