First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested a therapy called Impact of Killing (IOK) for veterans with PTSD caused by moral injury—distress from killing or being responsible for a death in war. One hundred veterans received either IOK or a standard PTSD therapy over 10 sessions. The goal was to see if IOK improves quality of life and reduces PTSD symptoms, with a six-month follow-up to check if benefits last.
