New drug duo battles Tough-to-Treat blood cancer

NCT ID NCT04747236

Summary

This study is testing if a combination of two drugs, oral azacytidine and romidepsin, works better than standard single-drug treatments for a fast-growing type of blood cancer called peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) that has returned or not responded to prior therapy. About 50 adults whose cancer has progressed after at least one prior treatment will be randomly assigned to receive either the new two-drug combination or one of four standard single drugs chosen by their doctor. The main goal is to see if the combination helps keep the cancer from growing for a longer period of time compared to the standard options.
