New combo therapy trial offers hope for Tough-to-Treat blood cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether a combination of two oral drugs (azacytidine and romidepsin) works better than standard single-drug treatments for a rare and aggressive type of blood cancer called Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma (PTCL) that has come back or hasn't responded to prior therapy. About 50 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the new two-drug combination or one of the standard single drugs chosen by their doctor. The main goal is to see if the combination can keep the cancer from getting worse for a longer period of time.
