First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether exosome injections can help people with acute-on-chronic liver failure, a life-threatening condition where the liver suddenly stops working. Twenty adults aged 18 to 65 will receive either standard care alone or standard care plus four exosome infusions over 10 days. The main goal is to check safety and see if the treatment improves survival at 12 weeks.
