PsyPills app aims to curb risky behavior in young adults

NCT ID NCT07304830

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether the PsyPills app can help emerging adults (ages 18-29) better manage their emotions and reduce risky behaviors like substance use, self-harm, or aggression. The app provides short, on-the-spot exercises to challenge unhelpful thoughts during moments of distress. About 204 participants with moderate emotion regulation difficulties will use either PsyPills or a mood-tracking app for comparison over one month.
